in house accounting
Keep accounting services in-house if you can. There are companies that offer those services—from individual accounting components to the entire process—but there is significant benefit to having most, if not all, of your accounting done in-house. Our CPA of many years said that, among his clients, those who did in-house accounting were the most profitable because they learned what the numbers meant and how to use them to lower overhead and production costs. Further, you care more about the result than an outside company does and, therefore, the information will be more accurate and more useful.
